christmas is about to come so the city looks completely different. like a girl dressed up for a prom night the city is dressed all in lights and shadowy shapes. and vienna has a taste for the morbid. all saints day is celebrated passionately and some time later we forget about it and decorate kitsch pompously. in a way this reminds me of "melancholia". the trivial set of routines, the constant denial of an ending, the burden of happiness,the way things have to shine when they dont.
so winter is usually is not best time to take pictures because the way the light behaves.however, this is exactly what i wanted to see on these pics, the dancing of flashy light, people just becoming shadows because of the darkness.
im looking forward to christmas anyhow! will spend my last days in hamburg and then berlin! pics are soon to follow!and get in some mood and listen to angus and julia stone "santa monica dream"!
