for this still life series i picked tattoos. we were cooking at a friend‘s place when i realized how many of us actually have a tattoo. i then realized how much i love what tattoos are as an art and as a marker of our identity. They are a symbol of our emotional status and of how we perceive the world. while some are what we perceive as mistakes, others show our strong belief in issues as love or simply act as a memory of places we have been to or something we want to keep and not forget. a tattoo that is impossible to regret probably holds meaning, but why even regret something like this? as long as you dont have a fyling beer bottle on your forehead. most of the tattoos meant acting on the spur of a moment, to act on impulse so they show our lust for life and also the silly part of youth that goes with that. and if something can show this, isn‘t it wonderful in itself?
